Washington Remembers is a multifaceted tribute to veterans of one of the most violent conflicts in history. The project includes free online profiles of veterans, an online photo gallery and an exhibit that will be on display in the Legislative Building in Olympia.
This contest is a great opportunity for students (grade 8-11) interested in World War II or who have relatives who served in the war or on the home front. This war had an enormous impact on our country and generations of Americans.
Prize winners will receive a special certificate and a $100 gift card. All students in grades 8-11 in Washington State are eligible. We will have a panel of judges read the entries at the end of this year and will announce the winners at a special ceremony at my office in the Legislative Building in early 2016.
