Join Facing the Future and Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility on Wednesday, May 27, for a workshop about the Hanford Nuclear Reservation—a decommissioned nuclear weapons production complex in Eastern Washington State and the most contaminated nuclear waste site in the United States.
In this workshop, we will take a deep look at the history of and social, economic, and environmental impacts of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. We'll also show you how to integrate the history and legacy of Hanford into your global issues, history, science, and social studies classes using Facing the Future's new, standards-aligned unit on waste: What a Waste! Exploring Household, Industrial, and Nuclear Waste.
