Civic Education Washington State (also known as the We the People programs) would like to invite you and your colleagues to apply today to join us for the We the People Summer Institute on July 9-14, 2017 in Federal Way, WA.
We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution helps students understand the history and principles of our Constitutional government. The program focuses on the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights and fosters civic competence and responsibility among elementary, middle, and high school students in public and private schools nationwide.
The Summer Institute is a professional development program which brings teachers together with Constitutional scholars. Teachers attend lectures and sessions dedicated to teaching methods appropriate to the We the People... curriculum. They also participate in a simulated congressional hearing modeled on the We the People... culminating activity.
Participants will receive:

- A Free set of We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution textbooks
- A $500 Stipend upon Fulfillment of Program Requirements
